Come and volunteer with the Essex Forest Initiative, Essex's biggest tree planting project! 

The Essex Forest Initiative committed to plant £1million worth of trees over the course of five years. The aims of the project include carbon offsetting, increasing biodiversity net gain, reducing flood risk and improving air quality, with the initiative’s target being 375,000 trees.

New native woodlands, hedgerow planting and urban planting will be providing invaluable habitats for wildlife, less flood risk from heavy rains, more shade in hot summers and green spaces for people to reconnect with nature.

The progress of the initiative so far has been incredibly positive. We want to see the momentum grow, with an opportunity for everyone in Essex to get involved.
