Essex County Council has partnered with Greenredeem to launch Carbon Cutting Essex.

Complete fun activities to understand how to reduce your carbon footprint and earn points. Use your points to enter the prize draw, donate to good causes, and earn discounts and gifts. That’s great for the planet and great for you!

Taking action on climate can help improve your physical and mental health and wellbeing. It can also help improve local air quality and help you save money at the same time.

There are new activities every week, including videos and quizzes to complete, which will help you be more environmentally aware. You can make pledges and take action to reduce your impact on the environment.

Topics covered include:

• conserving water
• saving energy
• reducing waste and recycling
• using sustainable transport
• looking after green spaces

The app also features:

• blogs filled with practical hints and tips to help you reduce your environmental impact
• a carbon tracker
• a list of eco-friendly products and shops
• a community wall that local contributors can use to share ideas and support one another
