Free event in Braintree on Friday 27 January will help make Essex a more innovative place to do business.

The Ambitious Essex Innovation Summit 2023 is taking place at the Plaza Enterprise & Innovation Centre in Braintree on Friday 27 January.

The free, half-day event, will enable local businesses to hear from innovation experts, find out how to access innovation funding and share their experiences.

Guests can attend in-person or online via the hybrid provision.

Confirmed speakers include two local innovation experts: Plextek, a technology company with projects including care and vehicle maintenance innovation, and Hundo, which is building the world’s first learn-and-earn campus to supercharge tech careers.

Local partners, such as all three Essex universities and Innovate UK, will also provide guidance around knowledge sharing, practical support and funding streams.

Cllr Lesley Wagland OBE, ECC Cabinet Member for Economic Renewal, Infrastructure and Planning, said, “Ensuring all businesses are able to innovate will help us to achieve our Levelling Up agenda. In particular, outcomes from the Ambitious Essex Innovation Summit will encourage our businesses to consider future growth and investment, and how innovation could create good, exciting and future-proof jobs.
