Fresh Air Festival- seaside fun for everyone

Brightlingsea’s first Festival of Outdoor Arts launched with a huge success this Sunday, the 2nd of October.  The Fresh Air Festival (FAF) brought together a wide variety of free outdoor performances and seaside fun for everyone.

FAF is a street performance festival where community is at the heart of everything. Residents enjoyed a fun day outdoors with plenty of activities taking place for all the family.

Essex Youth Orchestra Concert - 'Restoration' by Chester Tribley

Essex County Council and The Essex Climate Action Commission has been working with young Essex composer, Chester Tribley, and the Essex Youth Orchestra to compose an anthem for climate action in Essex – to mark the importance of a stable, habitable and precious climate. This piece of music, titled Restoration, aims to inspire people to take action on climate change, to consider its chaos and to go back to basics, by taking time to pause, look at and listen to the beauty of the world around us.

GRIDSERVE Electric Vehicles Awareness Day

At the UK's first fully electric charging forecourt, GRIDSERVE Braintree, the team is hosting an event to help and support local residents in the transition to electric vehicles in the UK. On Saturday 16th July at the Braintree Electric Forecourt, there will be an opportunity to visit the forecourt and to encourage and learn about the simplicity of this transition and view the incredible technology that is increasingly available and affordable.

Manningtree Earth Festival

Manningtree Earth Festival, taking place in Manningtree Town Centre on 26th June 2022, featuring bands, speakers and stallholders will be the first Earth Festival to be held in the UK’s smallest town and is run entirely by a group of volunteers. Come along to learn more about climate change and climate action in an interactive and enjoyable way, with a chance to meet some of the Essex Climate Action Commission's Commissioners too.

 

Net Zero: Making Essex Carbon Neutral
